Microcell 30
The Microcell 30 (M30) Broadband Transmit Amplifier delivers 30 Watts of composite multicarrier power at cellular frequencies. It is compatible with AMPS,CDMA and TDMA air interfaces and represents the latest in second generation Power Amplifier design. It is suitable for applications that require simultaneous amplification of different formats e.g. AMPS and TDMA. It an ideal amplifier for microcell application. The feedforward design of the M30 ensures low levels of intermodulation. . It is available for 110VAC, 220VAC, 20 to 28VDC or a nominal –48VDC operation. It has 1 to 3 inputs available at the front panel connections for the main cabinet transmit combiner output and one or two auxiliary cabinets. The M30 incorporates field replaceable fans and remote shutdown capability. A field replaceable input module allows connector interface and/or gain change. The Microcell 30 is well suited for new system specification. It is also available as a reliable alternative to the popular Ericsson 882 series MCPA.

Microcell 40
The M40 amplifies the low power, combined outputs of cellular base station Microcell transceivers and presents the composite 40 Watt multichannel output to the antenna feed. The compact package makes this product ideal for installations that require a physically small base station having channel output powers higher than those available from standard Microcell equipment.

The M40 is available for AC or DC operation and it includes all the features necessary for a quick and effective installation. The optional outdoor enclosure is suited for weather exposed installations.

A Link Balancer (low noise receive amplifier is available for systems that require additional receive sensitivity to ensure balance between forward and reverse links. The M40 is a member of the AML Communications family of multicarrier amplifiers providing composite output powers of 4 to 140 Watts.

Microcell 80
The Microcell 80 (M80) Ultra linear Cellular Multicarrier Power Amplifier (MCPA) provides 80 watts of composite power with a typical channel loading of 21 channels at 3.8 Watts each. The broadband nature of this amplifier allows flexibility of frequency allocation and eliminates the need for individual channel amplifiers plus their associated cavity autotune combiners. An additional feature is the inclusion of a dual diversity pair of Low Noise Amplifiers (LNA) to facilitate a balanced reverse link. This transmit/receive amplifier supports analog and digital transmission standards including AMPS, TDMA, GSM, and CDMA. The unit is presented in a 19 inch rack mount chassis that includes power supplies, fans and an alarm interface.

Microcell 140
The M140 delivers the highest output power in the AML Communications family of multi-carrier power amplifiers. With 140 Watt composite power, it achieves the ERP levels required for "core" base station cell sites. By amplifying the low power, hybrid combined outputs of microcell transceivers the M140 enables physically small base station equipment packages that provide areas of coverage similar to that of much larger traditional base station. The high power feedforward design of the M140 ensures high levels of intermodulation cancellation without incurring runaway current consumption or extraordinary levels of contributed heat. A Link Balancer (low noise receive amplifier is available for systems that require additional receive sensitivity to ensure forward and reverse link balance.

Model TTU60W
Up-conversion 60 Watt TDMA single channel power amplifier product accepts 869 to 894 MHz cellular frequency band and outputs an up-converted output in the 1930 to 1990 MHz PCS frequency blocks. Final output power is developed by LDMOS devices. A programmable synthesizer permits user interface selection of the PCS frequency block. The digital interface also provides comprehensive alarming and monitoring functions. Cooling is by externally supplied forced air and operation is from a 10 to 40 VDC wide range source. This embedded microprocessor product is a "best in the industry design" targeted for use in the most advanced wireless systems.

Model S80PCSA
AML announces Model S80PCSA 80 Watt TDMA single channel 1930 to 1990 MHz PCS power amplifier. This microprocessor controlled product features comprehensive alarming and monitoring functions. Communication with the host system is via an RS485 link. Cooling is by conduction and an automatic fail-safe shut down mode is entered in the event of extreme environmental, prime power or RF conditions.

Operating from a wide range 20 to 29VDC source with a signal gain of 50dB, unconditional stability plus the reliability and efficiency of LDMOS technology this low cost/high volume modular product provides a cost-effective solution for high capacity TDMA PCS systems.

This product will have its first commercial application in the Transcept TransCell 1900TM, a TDMA PCS-over-microwave system. Transcept is a developer of innovative and cost-effective RF distribution Products for wireless telecommunications.
