| - Protects against high levels of RF input power.
AML's integrated limiters provide self-activated, minimal insertion loss, low cost protection to high incoming power levels in today's EW and Radar receiver applications. The limiter architecture is based on PIN diode technology, and depending on the incident power level, the circuit may be of passive or semi-active nature, including multiple PIN diodes or a combination of PIN and Schottky diodes. Limiter features include high power handling of CW and pulsed RF signals, low insertion loss and high attenuation levels. Measured insertion loss on AML limiters is as low as 0.8 dB at 18 GHz and at the same time providing a flat leakage of +16 dBm for an incident power of 5W CW. Other AML limiters offers protection for a 300 W, 1 us pulse, width and 0.1% duty cycle, with a flat output leakage of +19dBm.
All Catalog Amplifiers are available with Integrated Limiters. Please inquire.
